Due to the generosity of our softball community, Fastpitch Cares has raised over $230K for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital – and we aren’t done. While the 2020 tournament has been canceled, we look forward to making 2021 our best year yet!

CANCELED – Please read statement below.

Fastpitch Cares Tournament Statement August 6, 2020

Fastpitch Cares was formed in 2012 after two members of our softball community became severely ill. Friends, family, coaches, and fans came together to support these players. Working with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, we identified how we could best help as a community and give back for their life saving care.

We were inspired to continue working through Doernbecher to help as many kids as possible through their unique medical challenges. Supported by our softball community, Fastpitch Cares created an annual softball tournament that enables targeted donations where we have the most significant impact on the medical care and pediatric treatment of children in the Pacific Northwest.

While we would love to host a Fastpitch Cares tournament in 2020, it does not align with our mission to help kids in medical need. For this reason, we are canceling our 2020 tournament. We do not want to put our players, families, coaches, umpires, or fans in a situation where they may be at risk of contracting the coronavirus. There is truly nothing more important to us than our community’s health and safety – this is the foundation of our mission and organization.

We look forward to hosting our next Fastpitch Cares Tournament on September 11th and 12th, 2021. Wishing you a happy and healthy year.
